Can't See the Forrest for the Trees

This saying keeps coming to mind as I read and hear people's reactions to images in my current daily self-portrait project. I'm intentionally not telling anyone what part or parts of my body are in the photograph (though of course sometimes it is blatently obvious). I like there being some mystery about the images. I like it to be difficult to figure out where one image ends and another begins. The point of this series is abstraction: abstraction of identity and imagery.

Construction

I'm working on consolidating my online profiles and embracing

Sarah R. Bloom the Artist.

Creativity is not something I want to separate from my work. My art and creativity are what drive my work and make it stand out.

Authenticity is the buzz word here.

New galleries will be showing up under the "PORTFOLIO" heading to showcase the various kinds of photography work I do, and do well.

I hope you stick around.

White Pines Artist Exchange

"A whole new way to support the artists you love through local business"

I am honored to be one of the inaugural group of artists in this new venture from White Pines Productions, Inc. This is an opportunity to show support for my work while at the same time making a tax-free donation, supporting local business, and getting the chance to work personally with me as my way of thanking you!

Big Announcement Coming Soon!

I am very honored to have been picked as one of the inaugural group of White Pines Exchange sponsored artists. What that is and what it all means will be revealed this week.

Think gift economy. Think supporting artists. Think giving and receiving. Think creative energy. Think Yeah Art! :)
